Security Page Ocean City Police Department -- Website
The Ocean City Police Department patrols and safeguards the Montego Bay Residential Community has responsibility for patrolling and safeguarding Montego Bay as part of Ocean City, MD. The frequency of patrols is partly determined by the frequency and likelihood of disturbances. Montego Bay enjoys a safe and secure community because of neighbors looking out for neighbors, the Neighborhood Watch participants, and the full-time residents (including renters) who are out and about the community at unpredictable hours of the day or night and their knowledge of the community and residents and what might be 'out of place' and worthy of reporting to the police. To help the Ocean City Police Department understand that there are security and safety issues within Montego Bay you must report any crimes or vandalism you witness to the police (and not to the Montego Bay Office). Do not disturb the crime scene until after the police have examined the scene and taken photos. You should also contact the police if there are nuisance activities (loud party noises, skate boarding, animals not on a leash, etc.) because the Association has no authority to intervene to enforce city rules, regulations, or laws. |
